Garage Door Installation

Garage Door Installation

Garage Door Installation Starts With the Right Door

A new garage door has to do more than fit the opening. It should fit your home, your budget, and the way you use your garage. Door Power installs new and replacement garage doors for homeowners throughout the Twin Cities, with options from Clopay and C.H.I.

If you’re considering garage door replacement, we’ll help you think through what you want from the new door rather than simply duplicating the one you already have. Appearance may be the priority, or you may want better insulation, a different construction, or a door that makes more sense for how you use the space.

Once you’ve chosen your door, Door Power’s full-time, local technicians handle the installation. We don’t use subcontractors, so the people installing your door are part of the same company you hired.

Choosing Residential Garage Doors for Minnesota Homes

Clopay and C.H.I. both offer residential doors in a range of styles, materials, and insulation levels. Door Power can help you narrow those choices based on what matters for your home instead of leaving you to sort through a product catalog on your own.

Insulation is especially worth considering in Minnesota. If your garage is attached to the house, used as a workshop, or just gets uncomfortable during cold weather, an insulated door may be a better fit than a basic non-insulated option.

Your budget matters, too. Door size, construction, insulation, design choices, and the specifics of your project can all affect the final price. Door Power offers free estimates so you can compare real options for your home before making a decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

A broken spring can leave you with a garage door you can’t safely use. Here are a few of the questions homeowners commonly have when that happens.

How much does garage door installation cost?

Installation is included in the estimate for your new door. The parts, the labor, and the taxes are all built into that single price. We don’t break out labor as a separate line item. When we quote you the cost of a new door, installation is part of that number.

How much does a new garage door cost in Minnesota?

The typical price range we’re seeing for a new garage door is $2,600 to $2,900. There are $10,000 doors out there, but at that price you’re paying for the design and architecture of the door, not better mechanics. The build and the function are essentially the same. It comes down to what the homeowner is trying to accomplish with the look, feel, and performance of the door.

How long does a new garage door installation take?

We are a complete garage door sales and service company. We offer free estimates on new doors, will tear out and haul away your old door, install your new door, and offer a warranty on the new door as well. Install times can vary anywhere from 2–4 hours depending on your installation needs.

What garage door brands does Door Power carry?

Door Power works with Clopay and C.H.I. for residential garage doors. Both manufacturers offer multiple styles and construction options, so we can help you compare choices that fit your home and budget.

Do you offer insulated garage door installation?

Yes. Door Power offers insulated garage door options for homeowners who want additional protection from outdoor temperatures. The right amount of insulation depends on the garage, how you use it, and your priorities for comfort and budget.

Should I repair or replace my garage door?

The single biggest rule is whether the door is serviceable for the next 5 to 10 years. If it’s too compromised, bent or badly bumped into, then it comes down to the cost of a new door versus the cost of the repair. Does the door still have enough usable life left to justify fixing it? That’s what we weigh when we make a recommendation.
